Capes

Not into veils? A full-length bridal cape or shorter capelet is the perfect alternative: It still adds dimension to your gown, but it feels modern. Plus, this trend is an easy way to pull off a mid-wedding outfit change. Wear a cape or capelet for your ceremony, then whisk it away to reveal a different look for your reception.

The bridal cape trend has reached a near-deafening pitch ever since Tommy Hilfiger’s daughter Ally wore a sheer cape to her recent wedding. Hilfiger’s hooded lace cape (designed by her dad, naturally) was floor-length and took the place of a veil. But if you’d rather just dip a toe into the trend for your big day, there are plenty of delicate, beautiful capes on the market to help you complete your dream wedding look.

The Bridal lounge are the only boutique to offer a Cape designing bespoke service with our in house seamstress. While on your appointment with your consultant, they can share ideas and options then once the final creative is complete the seamstress will move it from your dreams and into reality. There truly are no limitations with capes, they can be as extravagant as you like or a simple slip of fabric to work within your budget, the possibilities are endless! Below are some ideas but you can also bring in pictures to your appointment.
