Rachael and Rhys
Introducing Rachael and Rhys
Arriving at Tilstone House for the wedding and I could feel an excitement around the venue as the finishing touches were being made downstairs. After a quick chat with Lin , she’s so lovely and is always happy to help, I headed up to Rachael. Rachael was in the gorgeous Bridal suite with the most stunning, spacious prep room. The Honey Blush girls were working their magic with make up, while Clare was working her magic on hair. Everything was calm and Rachael and her lovely bridesmaids were chatting away. Moving into the bedroom to photograph Rachael’s beautiful dress from The Bridal Lounge, I was blown away with the stunning detail on the back. Capturing all the little details from rings and shoes to stunning flowers (by the wonderful Mayflower Bloom!) and perfume.
I headed over to Rhys where he was getting ready with his groomsmen. Walking in to a room full of very smart, happy guys putting the finishing touches to their suits. We headed down for a few photos before they set off to the church. I re-joined Rachael to capture her lovely sister and maid of honour, Hannah help her into her dress. The rest of the bridesmaids all lent a helping hand and you could just feel the excitement build with a couple of tears too.
Rain never stops play!
As we left Tilstone House the rain started and the umbrellas came out. When Rachael and the bridesmaids arrived at the church, St Judes, the groomsmen helped to shield them from the rain, one by one helping them into the church. Such gentlemen! The service was beautiful and a friend of Rhys’ blew everyone away by singing a beautiful Welsh song. It’s hard not to get emotional in services like these, Rachael and Rhys are so meant to be and you can feel the love they have and with their family and friends surrounding them.
Sunshine and showers of confetti
We were very lucky the rain had stopped when we left the Church and headed back to the gorgeous Tistone House. The guests arrived to the wonderful Ed Alexander playing a lovely white baby grand piano. After drinks and canapes the guests were seated and the new Mr & Mrs Edwards were introduced. Rhys, maid of honour Hannah and the two best men, James and Owain made fab speeches before enjoying the wedding breakfast.
The evening started with the cake cutting, then on to the first dance where the guests didn’t hesitate when invited up to join Rachael and Rhys on the dancefloor. We snuck outside and with the help from Ian from The Big Fire Work Shop we had a go at a love heart sparkler photo, it took a lot of sparklers but we got there – sorry for arm ache Rachael & Rhys! Shortly after the guests were in for a surprise of fireworks from the lovely team at The Big Firework Shop before heading back in to carry on celebrating with the new Mr & Mrs Edwards!
Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness! x
